Work as Worship

Day 22 — Work as Worship

Scripture:

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” — Colossians 3:23

Reflection:

In Epistle to the Colossians 3, Paul speaks to ordinary believers about daily work. He reminds them that their true Master is Christ (Colossians 3:24).

Discipleship does not stop at church doors.

It shows up in how we work.

When you work with integrity, you honor Christ.

When you serve with excellence, you reflect Him.

Even unseen work matters.

Your workplace, classroom, office, or home can become a mission field.

Working “for the Lord” changes your attitude. Complaining turns into gratitude. Laziness turns into diligence.

Discipleship shapes how we handle responsibility.

Observation:

• All work can honor Christ.

• Motivation matters as much as action.

• Our true reward comes from the Lord.

Life Application:

Are you working only for approval — or for God’s glory?

How would your effort change if you remembered you serve Christ?

Discipleship turns ordinary work into worship.

Prayer Prompt:

Lord, help me work today as if I am serving You directly.

Action Step:

Complete one task today with extra care, as an offering to God.
