Filled with the Knowledge of His Will
Day 11: Filled with the Knowledge of His Will
Scripture:
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives.” — Colossians 1:9 (NIV)
Reflection:
Spiritual growth is impossible without knowing God’s will. Paul prays that the Colossians would be filled—not partially, but fully—with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Notice the source: the Spirit. Human effort cannot produce true discernment; it is given through communion with God.
Wisdom and understanding allow us to:
Recognize God’s priorities in life
Make decisions aligned with His purpose
Walk confidently in obedience
Growth begins when knowledge leads to application. Knowing God’s will is not a one-time event—it is a daily posture of listening, prayer, and surrender.
Observation:
Knowledge of God’s will is Spirit-given.
Wisdom is practical understanding for life.
True growth requires constant dependence on God’s guidance.
Life Application:
Are you asking God daily to reveal His will, or relying on your own understanding? Growth requires intentionality in seeking His guidance.
Scripture Connections:
James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault…”
Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…”
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, fill me with the knowledge of Your will through Your Spirit so that I may walk wisely and purposefully each day.
Action Step:
Identify one decision you’re facing. Ask God to reveal His will through prayer, Scripture, and wise counsel.
