Love That Springs from the Spirit
Day 10: Love That Springs from the Spirit
Scripture:
“…who also told us of your love in the Spirit.” — Colossians 1:8 (NIV)
Reflection:
Paul highlights Spirit-produced love. This is not human effort—it is supernatural love flowing from God’s Spirit. Growth in Christ is evidenced by love that humans cannot manufacture on their own.
Spirit-led love:
Forgives the unforgivable
Serves without expectation
Bears with patience
This love is the truest proof of transformation. If your relationships are strained or your heart is hardened, it signals a need for greater reliance on the Spirit.
Observation:
Love is Spirit-produced.
Spiritual growth is relational, not just personal.
Dependence on the Spirit enables love beyond natural capacity.
Life Application:
Where do you struggle to love? Ask the Spirit to fill that gap and act through you.
Scripture Connections:
Galatians 5:22 – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…”
Romans 5:5 – “…God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit…”
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, let Your Spirit love through me today—especially where it feels impossible.
Action Step:
Intentionally show love in one challenging relationship today. Pray before interacting.
