Faithful Mentors Shape Growth

Day 9: Faithful Mentors Shape Growth

Scripture:
“You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf.” — Colossians 1:7 (NIV)

Reflection:
Spiritual growth is rarely accomplished in isolation. God uses faithful people to guide, teach, and correct us. Epaphras’ faithfulness deeply impacted the Colossians.

Every believer needs mentors who are:

  • Faithful to Christ

  • Committed to truth

  • Invested in discipleship

Your growth may be hindered if you isolate yourself. God calls us to teach, receive, and multiply truth through relationships.

Observation:
God uses faithful people to disciple us.
Mentorship and accountability are essential.
Spiritual maturity requires openness to correction.

Life Application:
Who is pouring into your life spiritually? Who can you pour into? Growth happens relationally, not just intellectually.

Scripture Connections:
2 Timothy 2:2 – “And the things you have heard me say…entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
Proverbs 27:17 – “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, bring faithful teachers and friends into my life. Help me also to be faithful to others.

Action Step:
Reach out to a mentor or disciple someone this week, sharing encouragement or Scripture.
