Chosen, Holy, and Loved
Day 41: Chosen, Holy, and Loved
Scripture:
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” — Colossians 3:12 (NIV)
Reflection:
Growth begins with identity. Spiritual maturity flows from knowing who you are in Christ. Being chosen, holy, and loved gives authority and motivation to live differently.
Clothing yourself with virtues is intentional. You cannot passively mature; love, humility, and patience are daily decisions, empowered by God.
Observation:
Identity in Christ precedes action.
Growth is intentional and relational.
Virtues reflect God’s character.
Life Application:
Which virtue is hardest for you to “put on”? Ask God to empower you to wear it consistently.
Scripture Connections:
1 Peter 2:9 – “…you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood…”
Galatians 5:22-23 – “…fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me live daily as Your chosen, holy, and loved child. Empower me to clothe myself with Your virtues.
Action Step:
Choose one virtue to intentionally practice today and reflect on how it impacts your interactions.
