Reflection
Our culture is deeply confused about identity. People are constantly told to define themselves in terms of the internal, external, or social.

But Scripture anchors identity in something unchanging—God.

“Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

Identity is not self-created—it is God-given.

“So God created man in His own image…” (Genesis 1:27)

This means worth is not earned, discovered, or assigned by culture—it is given by Creator.

Even insecurity, comparison, and identity confusion often come from forgetting this truth.

“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” (Psalm 139:14)

You are not a mistake, a label, or a trend—you are designed by God.

Application
Am I allowing God or culture to define my identity?

Prayer
God, anchor my identity in You alone. Free me from confusion and comparison.
