Suffering and Glory

Day 29 — Suffering and Glory

Scripture:

“If we suffer with him, we may also be glorified with him.” — Romans 8:17

Reflection:

In Epistle to the Romans 8, Paul reminds believers that following Christ includes suffering.

Jesus suffered first.

Then came resurrection and glory.

Discipleship does not promise an easy road.

2 Timothy 3:12 says all who desire to live godly lives will face challenges.

But suffering is not the end. Romans 8:18 says present sufferings are not worth comparing with future glory.

Hope strengthens endurance.

Observation:

• Suffering connects us to Christ.

• Glory follows faithfulness.

• Hope anchors us in trials.

Life Application:

Are you surprised when following Jesus feels hard?

Discipleship stays steady because it looks beyond the present.

Prayer Prompt:

Lord, give me courage to follow You through difficulty.

Action Step:

Encourage someone who is suffering with hope from Scripture.
