Renewed Love

Day 24 – Renewed Love

Scripture Focus: 1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV)

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”

How God Renews Our Love

1. Love Is the Evidence of True Renewal

Paul declares love as the greatest spiritual virtue—not because it replaces faith or hope, but because it outlives them. Faith will one day become sight. Hope will be fulfilled. Love endures eternally.

Renewal is proven not by spiritual knowledge or giftedness, but by love expressed in action. In today’s world, people recognize God’s presence more through how we love than through what we say we believe.

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:35)

2. God’s Love Renews Us Before It Flows Through Us

Biblical love does not originate within us—it flows from God through us. We cannot sustain Christlike love apart from first receiving it.

Many believers struggle to love consistently because they are attempting to give what they have not fully received. Renewal begins when we rest in God’s unearned, unconditional love.

“We love him, because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)

3. Renewed Love Is Sacrificial, Not Selective

Scripture defines love as patient, kind, and enduring—even when undeserved. Renewed love stretches us beyond comfort and convenience.

In our culture, love is often conditional—based on agreement, behavior, or benefit. God’s love challenges us to love across differences, wounds, and offenses.

“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” (1 John 3:16)

4. Love Reflects God’s Presence to the World

Love is not merely a personal virtue—it is a public witness. When love governs our words, actions, and responses, it reveals the character of Christ to those watching.

Renewed love transforms families, churches, workplaces, and communities. It is how faith becomes visible.

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” (1 John 4:11)

How We Practice Renewed Love

  • Choose patience over irritation

  • Offer grace where resentment would be easier

  • Love without expecting return

  • Reflect Christ in difficult relationships

Closing Reflection

Love is not simply felt—it is lived.

Devotional Practice

Intentionally express love today through a word, action, or sacrifice.

Guided Journaling

  • Where is God inviting me to love more deeply?

  • Who is difficult for me to love right now?

  • How does God’s love reshape my response?

Prayer

Lord, let Your love flow through me. Teach me to love as You love—faithfully, sacrificially, and without condition. Amen.
