The Weight of Legacy

Day 51: The Weight of Legacy

Scripture:
“A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children…” — Proverbs 13:22 (NIV)

Reflection:
Your life is leaving something behind—whether you realize it or not.

Not just possessions.
Not just accomplishments.

But patterns.
Values.
Perspective.

Legacy is not built at the end of life.
It is formed in the daily choices you make now.

The way you respond.
The way you prioritize.
The way you trust God.

All of it is shaping what others will carry forward.

The question is not if you are leaving a legacy.

The question is what kind.

Observation:
Legacy is formed daily.
Influence extends beyond your lifetime.
What you live now will be carried forward.

Life Application:
What are you currently passing on through your life?

Scripture Connections:
Psalm 78:4 – “We will tell the next generation…”
2 Timothy 1:5 – “Sincere faith… first lived in your grandmother…”
Deuteronomy 6:6–7 – “Impress them on your children…”

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me live in a way that leaves a legacy of faith and truth.

Action Step:
Identify one value you want to pass on—and live it intentionally today.
