Wives and Husbands (Relational Growth)

Day 47: Wives and Husbands (Relational Growth)

Scripture:
“Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” — Colossians 3:18-19 (NIV)

Reflection:
Spiritual growth includes healthy, God-centered relationships. Submission and love are not about dominance but mutual respect, sacrifice, and Christ-centered roles.

Growth in marriage mirrors Christ’s relationship with the church: love, patience, humility, and respect.

Observation:
Relational maturity reflects spiritual maturity.
Roles are for unity, not power.

Life Application:
Examine your relationships—are they reflecting Christ’s love and humility?

Scripture Connections:
Ephesians 5:22-25 – “…wives, submit to your husbands…husbands, love your wives…”
1 Peter 3:7 – “…treat your wives with respect as the weaker partner…”

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help my relationships reflect Your love, patience, and humility.

Action Step:
Take one intentional step to honor and serve your spouse, family member, or close friend today.
