Day 13: The Reality of Mortality

Scripture:
“For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing…” — Ecclesiastes 9:5 (NIV)

Reflection:
Few things break the illusion of the cycle like this truth:

Life is temporary.

We live as if time is endless.
As if there will always be another opportunity.
Another chance to realign, refocus, reprioritize.

But Ecclesiastes brings clarity—our days are limited.

Not to create fear… but urgency.

Because cycles feel endless—until you realize your time within them is not.

And that realization changes how you live.

You begin to ask different questions:

Am I investing in what lasts?
Am I living intentionally?
Am I aligned with what truly matters?

Mortality doesn’t make life meaningless.

It makes it measurable.

And when you see your time clearly, you begin to live differently.

Observation:
Life is temporary.
Awareness of mortality creates urgency.
Time should be invested in what is eternal.
