Breaking Agreement With Lies

Day 23: Breaking Agreement With Lies

Scripture:
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32 (NIV)

Reflection:
Cycles are often sustained by agreements you don’t realize you’ve made.

“This is just who I am.”
“I’ll never change.”
“This will always be this way.”

These statements feel like observations—but they are actually agreements.

And what you agree with, you empower.

Jesus connects truth directly to freedom.

Not just knowing truth—but aligning with it.

Because you can hear truth… and still live bound if you don’t believe it.

Freedom begins when you break agreement with what is false.

And replace it with what God says is true.

Observation:
Beliefs reinforce cycles.
Agreements with lies limit freedom.
Truth must be embraced, not just heard.

Life Application:
What belief about yourself or your situation needs to be challenged?

Scripture Connections:
Romans 8:1 – “There is now no condemnation…”
Ephesians 1:7 – “In Him we have redemption…”
John 8:36 – “If the Son sets you free…”

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, reveal any lies I’ve believed. Help me align my thinking with Your truth.

Action Step:
Write down one lie you’ve believed—and directly replace it with a truth from Scripture.
