Renewed Influence
Day 39 – Renewed Influence
Scripture: Matthew 5:16 (KJV)
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
How God Renews Our Influence
1. Influence Flows From God’s Character, Not Human Strategy
True influence is not about persuasion or popularity—it comes from a life reflecting Christ. Renewal begins internally: God shapes our character so our actions naturally inspire and impact others.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.” (Galatians 5:22–23)
In a world that often equates influence with power, God teaches that authentic impact is rooted in integrity, humility, and Christlikeness.
2. Influence Multiplies Through Obedience
God entrusts influence to those who follow His lead. Every act of faithful service or obedience has a ripple effect. Renewal empowers us to use our platform, talents, and opportunities to glorify God, not ourselves.
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much…” (Luke 16:10)
3. Influence Is Servant-Led, Not Self-Seeking
Jesus redefined leadership: greatness comes from serving others. Renewed influence seeks the good of others first. It inspires by lifting others up, not drawing attention to self.
“Whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.” (Matthew 20:26–27)
4. Influence Reflects God’s Kingdom, Not Culture
Our influence is eternal when it points people to Christ, not when it follows trends or worldly approval. Renewal aligns our choices, words, and actions with kingdom priorities.
“Do all things without murmurings and disputings; That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God…” (Philippians 2:14–15)
How We Align With Renewed Influence
Model Christlike character in all interactions
Use opportunities of leadership to serve others
Seek impact that honors God, not self
Encourage and mentor others in faith
Closing Reflection
Renewed influence is less about being seen and more about reflecting God’s light so others can encounter Him.
Devotional Practice
Identify one way today to positively impact someone else, whether through encouragement, service, or example.
Guided Journaling
Who is God calling me to influence right now?
How does my character reflect Christ to others?
Where might I be seeking influence for self rather than God?
Prayer
Lord, renew my influence. Let my words, actions, and life point others to You, and may Your kingdom be glorified through me. Amen.
Quote:
“Influence is greatest when Christ is seen, not self.”
