Seek the Things Above
Phase 3: Living Transformed (Colossians 3:1–11)
Day 31: Seek the Things Above
Scripture:
“Since then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” — Colossians 3:1 (NIV)
Reflection:
Spiritual growth begins with perspective. Being “raised with Christ” means you share in His resurrection life—victory over sin and death. To live transformed, your focus must shift upward, not downward.
Setting your heart on heaven:
Changes your priorities
Shapes your desires and decisions
Provides hope amid trials
Maturity begins when you intentionally look to Christ rather than to temporary, earthly concerns.
Observation:
Heavenly focus produces spiritual clarity.
Growth begins with perspective.
Christ is the anchor for the transformed life.
Life Application:
Are your priorities shaped by heaven or by circumstances? Begin each day intentionally seeking God’s will above all.
Scripture Connections:
Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness…”
Philippians 3:20 – “Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there…”
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me set my heart on You and the eternal things that truly matter.
Action Step:
List one earthly concern you will intentionally submit to God’s eternal perspective today.
