Rooted and Built Up

Day 22: Rooted and Built Up

Scripture:
“…being knit together in love, strengthened in the faith and encouraged to full understanding of God’s mystery, that is, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” — Colossians 2:2-3 (NIV)

Reflection:
Spiritual growth requires being rooted and built up in Christ. Knowledge without love is incomplete; love without knowledge is unsteady. Paul emphasizes that Christ contains all treasures of wisdom and knowledge—the full counsel of God.

Being rooted in Him means:

  • Wisdom and understanding flow from Christ, not human opinion

  • Faith is strengthened through daily dependence

  • Spiritual maturity requires both love and knowledge

Many struggle because they pursue knowledge or experience alone. True growth requires integration: heart, mind, and Spirit.

Observation:
Christ is the source of wisdom and knowledge.
Love and faith grow together.
Roots in Christ sustain against false teaching.

Life Application:
Are you seeking wisdom from the world or Christ? Are your roots growing deep enough to withstand deception?

Scripture Connections:
Ephesians 3:17 – “So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…”
Proverbs 2:6 – “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, root me in You. Let my faith grow, my love deepen, and my knowledge align with Your truth.

Action Step:
Commit to one daily habit this week to deepen roots: Scripture reading, prayer, or meditation on Christ’s character.
