The Supremacy of Christ
Day 18: The Supremacy of Christ
Scripture:
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.” — Colossians 1:15 (NIV)
Reflection:
Growth in Christ requires seeing Him correctly. Christ is not only Savior—He is supreme over all creation. The phrase “firstborn” denotes priority and authority, not origin. Understanding His supremacy reshapes:
Our priorities
Our values
Our perspective
When Christ is first in your life, everything else falls into place. Spiritual maturity begins with acknowledging His authority in thought, work, relationships, and decisions.
Observation:
Christ is the visible expression of God.
Supremacy establishes priority and authority.
Growth begins with recognizing Christ’s centrality.
Life Application:
Is Christ first in your life, or do other things take His place? Reflect and realign today.
Scripture Connections:
John 1:3 – “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”
Philippians 2:9-10 – “God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name above every name…”
Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me see You as supreme in all things and honor Your authority daily.
Action Step:
Write down 3 areas where Christ is not first. Pray for the courage to reorder your life around Him.
