A New Creation
Day 6 – A New Creation
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
How God Renews Our Identity
1. New Creation Is a Declaration, Not a Process
In Christ, newness is established immediately, even if growth unfolds gradually. Identity is settled before behavior changes. God calls us who we are becoming so we can live into it.
2. The Old Has Lost Authority
The “old” may still echo, but it no longer rules. Past labels, sins, and failures no longer define reality. Living renewed means refusing to give authority to what God has already buried.
3. Identity Must Be Believed to Be Lived
Many believers struggle not because identity is unclear, but because it is unaccepted. Renewal becomes tangible when truth is embraced rather than debated.
4. New Identity Produces New Direction
When identity changes, choices follow. We live differently because we are different.
Alignment Practices
Declare your identity aloud.
Reject labels God has removed.
Live from truth, not memory.
Closing Reflection
You are not becoming new—you already are. Growth is learning to live from what God has already declared.
Devotional Practice
Speak this aloud: “I am a new creation in Christ.”
Guided Journaling
Where am I still living from an old identity?
What truth must I accept today?
Prayer
Jesus, help me live from who You say I am. Amen.
“Identity believed becomes identity lived.”
